 Skip Bawden made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out 15 batters over  6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  stolen base.
 In other batting news, Snowflake let  Kyler Matthews and  Aaden Coor run wild. Matthews  went 3-for-5 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Coor  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  run. That's the most  runs  Matthews has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Xavier Reidhead, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  double.
 Snowflake  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  strikeout total in three consecutive  games.
Snowflake's record now sits at 14-6. As for Blue Ridge,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 13-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Snowflake will square off against Pima at 1:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Blue Ridge, they will take on Winslow at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak.
