St. Francis posted their closest victory since September 27th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the St. Mary's Rams 2-1. For the Troubadours, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

St. Francis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malia Fat led the charge by getting 11 digs and two aces. What's more, Fat posted four assists, the most she's had over her last nine matches. Another player making a difference was Katie Kramer, who had five digs and three aces.

Despite the loss, St. Mary's still got an impressive performance from Genevieve Rishwain, who had 16 digs.

St. Francis has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 25-7 record this season. As for St. Mary's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-10.

St. Francis has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Rio Americano on the 11th. As for St. Mary's, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Bear River on the 11th.
