The Bethel-Tate Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They snuck past Felicity-Franklin with a 66-61 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Felicity-Franklin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zander Marlow, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. Marlow has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jace Blackburn was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Bethel-Tate now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Felicity-Franklin, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Bethel-Tate will be playing at home against Clermont Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Felicity-Franklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Williamsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Felicity-Franklin likes a good challenge.
