The Hun Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 46-34 to Shabach Christian Academy Blue.
Despite the loss, Hun saw an underclassman step up: Gabby D'Agostino scored 17 points. That was a full 50% of Hun's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Addi McNally, who scored six points.
Hun's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Shabach Christian Academy Blue, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hun will take on Peddie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Peddie has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6. Shabach Christian Academy Blue will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Springdale Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
