The South Bulldogs struggled with threes on Saturday (the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars had six more) and sadly the final score reflected it. South was dealt a 65-35 loss at the hands of Hilliard Bradley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South has scored all season.
South's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gavin Griffin, who scored ten points, and Lajames Washington who scored ten points. The matchup was Washington's ninth in a row with at least ten points.
South's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Hilliard Bradley, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
South will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Walnut Ridge's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Hilliard Bradley, they will head out on the road to face off against Olentangy Orange at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Olentangy Orange is on a three-game streak of home wins, Hilliard Bradley a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
