The Bruce Trojans were the 68-48 winner over the Eupora Eagles when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. Bruce fell 61-52 to Eupora on Tuesday.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashton Pierce, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Ankavious Glass was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Bruce bumped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Eupora, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Bruce and Wheeler will round out the year against one another at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th at. As for Eupora, they will head out on the road to face off against Ethel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Ethel is ranked 243rd, while Eupora is ranked 232nd).
