Hondo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan L gilliam, who picked up 93 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Daedyn Rodriguez, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Crystal City's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hondo, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crystal City will take on Poteet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poteet is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Hondo, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cotulla at 7:00 p.m. Cotulla is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
