The Ocoee Knights won the last time they faced the Oak Ridge Pioneers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Ocoee escaped with a win against Oak Ridge by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ocoee.
Leading Ocoee to victory were Micah Hannah and Jayla Weiser. Hannah scored 17 points along with three steals, while Weiser scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals. Hannah is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Paris Triplett, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Oak Ridge, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocoee will take on Orange Park at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oak Ridge, Oak Ridge and Hagerty will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
