Liam Heaphy made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs.
In other pitching news, Sunset got a great performance from Kayden Dabbs as he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave Dabbs a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Noah Gaibler was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
