Pace came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Leading Pace to victory were Andrea Salgado and Risa Trevi?o. Salgado had 19 digs and four aces, while Trevi?o had 13 digs and two aces. Trevi?o is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Melody Valerio, who had 12 digs.

Edcouch-Elsa's loss came despite strong showings from Alliyah Ramirez and Maya Flores. Ramirez had 17 digs, while Flores had seven digs and seven assists.

Pace's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Edcouch-Elsa, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Pace didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Mission Veterans Memorial on the 16th. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Donna North on the 19th.
