The Normandy Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the St. Mary's Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Two weeks ago, Normandy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-59 to Priory. Normandy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to New Madrid County Central 85-80.
Normandy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-2.
Normandy came up short against St. Mary's in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 47-40. Can Normandy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
