Given Iredell's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Bluff Dale is ranked 847th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Bluff Dale saw an underclassman step up: Kallie Dotson scored 0 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Dotson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Iredell's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bluff Dale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iredell will take on Rising Star at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bluff Dale, they will be playing at home against Sidney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
