This season hasn't been kind to the Isabella Mustangs, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They had to suffer through a rough 52-22 loss at the hands of Fayetteville. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Isabella in their matchups with Fayetteville: they've now lost four in a row.
Fayetteville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brennon Marlin out in front who scored ten points along with four steals. Marlin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Liner, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Isabella dropped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Fayetteville, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Isabella will take on Comer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Comer presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Isabella in Alabama (Comer is ranked 186th, while Isabella is ranked 474th). As for Fayetteville, they will head out on the road to challenge Thorsby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
