McDonald has gone 9-1 against Springfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. McDonald is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
If McDonald beats Springfield with six runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Blue Devils didn't even let Jackson-Milton on the board on Tuesday, marking the Blue Devils' second-straight 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Aubrey Evans's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Miley Titus was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Clair O'Leary, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Springfield nor Waterloo made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Tigers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-3. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Gina Romeo made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
McDonald's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Springfield, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. McDonald has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Springfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
McDonald was able to grind out a solid win over Springfield in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
