St. Francis is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Rochelle is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. St. Francis has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 176 points over their last five matchups.
St. Francis was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They enjoyed a cozy 35-17 victory over Nazareth Academy.
St. Francis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alessio Milivojevic out in front who threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyvonn Ransom, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Rochelle earned a 30-20 win over Richmond-Burton on Friday.
Rochelle found their leader in underclassman Dylan Manning, who rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Grant Gensler and his 101 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Rochelle's win.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 7-2.
St. Francis strolled past Rochelle in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 35-16. Does St. Francis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rochelle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
