The Twin Loup Wolves were the 58-43 winner over the Sandhills/Thedford Knights when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Twin Loup suffered a rough 51-26 defeat at the hands of Sandhills/Thedford on Saturday. Twin Loup was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-4.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Carsen Vincent,
Ragan Mauler, and
Miranda Olson posted five points each. Mauler also led the team in rebounds with 11.
Arin Smith took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Twin Loup's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sandhills/Thedford, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Twin Loup will be playing in front of their home fans against Stuart on Friday. As for Sandhills/Thedford, they will head out on the road to face off against Wallace on Thursday. Hopefully Wallace focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 43 on Friday.
