The Eastern Ramblers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They breezed by Woodson at home to the tune of 40-11. Winning may never get old, but Eastern sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Eastern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Samia Greene led the charge by scoring 14 points along with four steals and two blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which Greene has scored at least a third of Eastern's points. Jayme Poindexter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Eastern has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Woodson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will take on Bell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bell is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Woodson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McKinley Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
