The Northridge Raiders will square off against the Mishawaka Cavemen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Northridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Northridge made easy work of Warsaw and carried off an 11-1 win. The Raiders have beaten the Tigers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Addi Knisley made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Northridge got a massive performance out of Willow Staley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Staley has posted since back in April. Rielyn Goodwin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Northridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Mishawaka unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elkhart.

Northridge pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mishawaka, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Northridge suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Mishawaka in their previous meeting on May 1st. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
