Hazen is 8-2 against Carlisle since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Hazen Hornets will be playing at home against the Carlisle Bison at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a seven-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, Hazen strolled past Bearden with points to spare, taking the game 30-12.
Meanwhile, Carlisle beat England 35-26 on Friday.
Among those leading the charge was Kayleb Elliott, who rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Elliott was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.
Hazen's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Lee and 2-8 McCrory (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.3% over those games). As for Carlisle, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Everything came up roses for Hazen against Carlisle in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 44-6 victory. Does Hazen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carlisle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
