The Dallas Lutheran Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Covenant Classical Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Dallas Lutheran was able to grind out a solid victory over Fellowship Academy, taking the game 61-53. The victory was just what Dallas Lutheran needed coming off of a 50-0 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Covenant Classical entered their tilt with Calvary Academy with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Covenant Classical breezed by Calvary Academy at home to the tune of 70-0. Considering Covenant Classical has won eight matches by more than 43 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Hudson Williams went supernova for Covenant Classical, throwing for 232 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Logan Clifton also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Dallas Lutheran to 4-5 and Covenant Classical to 9-1.
