The biggest upset of the week belonged to Iroquois West, who took down 111th ranked Central, 57-6.
Momence was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Sangamon Valley. Earlier in the week, the Redskins defeated Deer Creek-Mackinaw 55-26.
Momence's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Cantwell threw for 63 yards and Deandre Wright had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Wright chipped in 447 yards. Lamar Watson helped Momence's passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.
St. Joseph-Ogden's Dalton Walsh and Aaron Woller have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Walsh has thrown for 770 yards this season, while Woller, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 14 catches for 224 yards. Wright from Matt Fox's team leads the league in rushing with 1645 yards.
Austin Blair of the Watseka is only 19 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Blair has rushed for 981 yards on 143 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Warriors take on Central. Watseka is in second place, while Brian Spooner's team is in fourth place.
St. Thomas More moved up to 268 from 317 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Sangamon Valley. A 49-14 win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda helped the Sabers improve their standing.
