Windham simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Tourtellotte 82-20 at home. Windham has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season.
Leading Windham to victory were Jaelize Rivera and Aniya Jenkins. Rivera scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Jenkins went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 4 assists. Jenkins hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Alyssa Lebiszczak was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Windham's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Tourtellotte, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Windham won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Waterford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Windham is ranked 23rd). As for Tourtellotte, they will be playing at home against Lyman Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
