The Edon Bombers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Hicksville 54-48. Edon has not had much luck with Hicksville recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Hicksville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Garrett Turnbull, who scored 16 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Turnbull has scored at least 25% of Hicksville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Slattery, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Edon's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hicksville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edon will take on Montpelier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hicksville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
