The Sidney Team will head out on the road to face off against the Oneonta Yellowjackets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sidney is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.8 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Sidney was able to grind out a solid win over Delaware Academy, taking the game 13-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Team.
Kate Young was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Emily Russo, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Meanwhile, Oneonta came up short against Windsor Central last Wednesday and fell 7-4. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Black Knights: they've now lost four in a row.
Oneonta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Sidney, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
