Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as Legacy Christian made off with a 48-25 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Legacy Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Nicolas Thomas, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Legacy Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Seth Harper, who scored nine points.
Legacy Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 23 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 352-1264-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Varsity Opponent is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. They are on the road again on Thursday and plays Cumberland Christian Home Educators at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st.
