After flying high against the Killian Hill Christian Cougars last Tuesday, the Fideles Christian Rangers came back down to earth. Fideles Christian suffered a rough 42-19 defeat at the hands of Lanier Christian Academy on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Fideles Christian has suffered yet this season.
Lanier Christian Academy was led to victory by Ellie Roberts and Emma Flowers. Roberts scored eight points along with four steals, while Flowers scored 12 points along with nine steals. Flowers has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Moriah Clark was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Fideles Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Lanier Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fideles Christian will take on The King's Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lanier Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Providence Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 13th. Providence Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
