The Blackstone-Millville Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Burncoat Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Blackstone-Millville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Blackstone-Millville pushed their score all the way to 67 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 78-67 to Southbridge.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jackson Dunton, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Karson Cournoyer, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Blackstone-Millville used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Southbridge. And. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Nick Novio scored six points along with six rebounds, while he scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, even though St. Paul scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Burncoat still came out on top. Burncoat took their matchup against St. Paul 71-59.
Blackstone-Millville has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Burncoat, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Blackstone-Millville might still be hurting after the 67-43 defeat they got from Burncoat when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Blackstone-Millville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
