Softball Recap: Timberlane Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Timberlane had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bedford Bulldogs a 13-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Owls also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Audrina Cordeiro, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Chaunda Poulin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Timberlane was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .433 or higher in three consecutive games.

Timberlane's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Bedford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Timberlane will take on rival Portsmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Owls are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Clippers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Bedford is set to square off against their familiar foe Alvirne at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
