Mandarin is 1-6 against the Bulldogs since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Mandarin Mustangs will take on the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Mandarin can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest last Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat First Coast 60-15 at home. With that win, Mandarin brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Mandarin had a senior duo take command as Ny'keria Thomas scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals and Kiyana Hunter scored nine points along with six steals and five assists. Thomas hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Chandler, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Flagler Palm Coast blew past the Pirates, posting a 66-27 win at home. That's two games straight that Flagler Palm Coast has won by exactly 39 points.
Mandarin pushed their record up to 10-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.7 points. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Mandarin strolled past the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2021 by a score of 66-50. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Flagler Palm Coast's Lauren Stewart, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds.
