Despite their defeat, Monacan saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Walker Lloyd, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lloyd has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Bunn, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, James River Midlothian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manchester. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Monacan didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against James River Midlothian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 83-77 win.
