Springfield will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Mill River at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Last Friday, Springfield couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to Bellows Free Academy by a decisive 12-32 margin.
Meanwhile, Mill River took care of business in their home opener. They took the contest and then some with a 41-0 win. They was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Mill River's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Springfield's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Mill River can add another positive mark to their record or if Springfield can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Mill River's step.
