Shadow Mountain has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Thunderbird Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shadow Mountain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Thunderbird is ranked 128th).
Shadow Mountain posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Yuma and snuck past 24-21.
Shadow Mountain found their leader in underclassman Cheyenne Hanna, who scored nine points along with six steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Hanna posted two or more blocks. Tess Newport was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Thunderbird entered their tilt with Yuma with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Thunderbird snuck past Yuma with a 34-30 victory on Thursday.
Shadow Mountain's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Thunderbird, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Shadow Mountain might still be hurting after the 50-27 defeat they got from Thunderbird in their previous matchup last Wednesday. Can Shadow Mountain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
