Kutztown had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Berks Catholic on Wednesday. The Cougars blew past the Saints 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kutztown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Berks Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
