The Lincoln Lions's game on Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Mt. Pleasant by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Mussie Yimer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. Joseph Shelton was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Mt. Pleasant's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordon Flagg, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Felix Enow, who scored 14 points.
Lincoln now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mt. Pleasant, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will be home for the holidays to greet Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will play host again and welcome Gilroy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
