CIF Southern Section high school football playoff brackets

No. 1 St. John Bosco earns top seed despite Friday's 36-31 loss to No. 12 Mater Dei.

The Southern Section released the high school football playoff brackets Sunday for all 14 divisions. Division 1 features five teams ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25.

The postseason begins Nov. 7 with subsequent rounds on Nov. 14 and 21 with the section finals Nov. 28-29 at various locations, including the Division 1 final at the famed Rose Bowl.

All games can be streamed on the NFHS Network.

The 36-31 upset of national No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) by No. 12 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) on Friday didn't upended the bracket as the Braves still earned the top seed in the Division 1 bracket. St. John Bosco hosts Orange Lutheran on Friday.

National No. 5 Centennial (Corona) earned the two-seed and hosts Servite on Friday. Mater Dei earned the three-seed and hosts Mission Viejo, which sits just outside of the national rankings. 

No. 7 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth), which finished the regular season 10-0, is the fourth seed and draws No. 11 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) in a MaxPreps top 25 showdown on Friday.
