The Nandua Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Poquoson by a score of 59-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nandua also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.
Poquoson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dominic Galacgac, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayne Galacgac, who scored 15 points.
Nandua now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Poquoson, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nandua and Crisfield will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Crisfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Poquoson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Grafton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Poquoson in Virginia (Grafton is ranked 42nd, while Poquoson is ranked 308th).
