The Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Highland Tech Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinnacle Classical Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Pinnacle Classical Academy beat Christian Family Academy 5-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Fire recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Connor Heavner tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Zachary Houser was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Pinnacle Classical Academy is 3-1 when Houser posts three or more hits, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jake McNeilly, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Highland Tech was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against East Gaston, falling 11-1. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Highland Tech saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Lunsford, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Highland Tech's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Highland Tech's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pinnacle Classical Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. It's a different story for Highland Tech, though, as they've only averaged .333. Will they be able to contain Pinnacle Classical Academy's hitters?
