Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua faced Columbus in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Scotties walked away with  a   6-3  win over the Cougars. The  victory was familiar territory for the Scotties, who have now won four  matches in a row.
 Brynn Donaldson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  CharLee McColly was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tessa Miller, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua's win bumped their record up to 16-6-1. As for Columbus, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record  this season.
 Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  an  11-1  defeat against Shepherd on the 16th. Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
