Baseball Recap: Imagine Prep Takes a Loss

While it was Imagine Prep who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Mission Heights Prep who put up more. The Storm fell just short of the Phantoms by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Storm have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Zachary Romero spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Isaiah Neff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Brock Millette was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Imagine Prep now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Mission Heights Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2-1.
