The Mancos Bluejays had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took down Thomas MacLaren School 69-51.
Mancos' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brian Veach, who scored 19 points. Kaiden Wyatt was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Mancos pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Thomas MacLaren School, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mancos will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Sanford at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Sanford is ranked 115th, while Mancos is ranked 120th). As for Thomas MacLaren School, they will head out on the road to square off against Fountain Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
