The Silver Bluff Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the McCormick Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Silver Bluff will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Silver Bluff stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Barnwell 57-10 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Silver Bluff has posted yet this season.
Krystal Johnson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for eight straight games. Ahminah Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, McCormick came up short against Lincoln County back in December of 2023 and fell 41-33. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as McCormick came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 223rd in South Carolina, while Lincoln County is ranked 453rd in Georgia).
Silver Bluff's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.63 points. As for McCormick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
