Blaire Fox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over 5.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
Fox wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Macey Alexander, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
