After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Damien, the King Wolves were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Great Oak out 50-48. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but King was the better team in the second half.
King got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mathias Tinker out in front who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. The game was Tinker's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Davis, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
King is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Great Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
King will be playing in front of their home fans against Murrieta Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Murrieta Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 661 points over their last ten matches. Great Oak's road trip will continue as they head out to face Redlands at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th.
