Justin Davis and Charles Caston provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Rebul Academy. The longest such play in MAIS 8-Man District 9 (8 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 75 yards.
Veritas took down the Raiders 70-36 last week, the largest margin of any game. Davis threw for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 201 yards during the win.
The Lions' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Robbie Nicholas threw for 176 and 3 touchdowns and Derrick Amos had 129 yards receiving. On the ground Davis contributed 201 yards. Caston helped Veritas' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 100 yards.
Davis provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Veritas defeated Rebul Academy. Davis' favorite target this week was Amos, who caught 2 passes for 129 yards.
He was 3-5 with 1 interception.
Amos was the best receiver in the league this week as Steve Spinks' team bested Joel Rials' team. Caston helped Veritas' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 100 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Devan Roberts and Andrew Hare, Christian Collegiate Academy has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Roberts is tops in the league in passing with 1,294 yards, while Hare has rushed for 1,082 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Lions' Amos, with 608 yards on 26 catches.
