Paxton put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Malone Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Colby Vaiyanet was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Kason Nelson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Paxton's record is now 3-0. As for Malone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Paxton will take on W.S. Neal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. W.S. Neal's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Paxton's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Malone, they will square off against Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Malone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.
