Abbott RVT is 8-2 against Platt RVT since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Abbott RVT Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Platt RVT Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On January 3rd, Abbott RVT took a serious blow against New Fairfield, falling 48-1. While losing is never fun, Abbott RVT can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while New Fairfield is ranked 41st).
Meanwhile, Platt RVT unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They suffered a tough 52-29 defeat at the hands of Amistad.
This is the second loss in a row for Abbott RVT and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Platt RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Abbott RVT came up short against Platt RVT in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 38-28. Can Abbott RVT avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
