Peachtree Academy were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Peoples Baptist Academy 44-8. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Peachtree Academy had established a 37-8 advantage.
Peoples Baptist Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Vincent Esprit, who picked up 121 yards on the ground. In fact, with 9 tackles Esprit was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Noah McRee, who racked up 9 tackles.
The win bumped Peachtree Academy's record up to 3-0. The defeat dropped Peoples Baptist Academy's record to 1-2.
Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Peachtree Academy will look to defend their home turf next week against Praise Academy at 7:30 PM. Peoples Baptist Academy will look to defend their home turf next week against Victory Baptist at 7:30 PM.
