Covington won against Cabrini on Monday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Lions beat the Hammond Tornadoes by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by ten runs or more this season.

The win was the third in a row for Covington, bringing their record up to 10-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Hammond, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Covington will take on rival Ponchatoula at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hammond is set to square off against their familiar foe Mandeville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
