Volleyball Recap: Stevens Wins Going Away Against Holmes

While Stevens didn't have the best season last year (they finished 18-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Holmes Huskies on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-17.

Alyssia Murphy paced Stevens' offense, picking up 12 kills. Murphy got some help from Gabrielle Ramon and her 31 assists. Kamryan Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Stevens' win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-4. As for Holmes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Stevens will be taking part in a tournament against Bandera at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Holmes, they are on the road again on Thursday to play McMullen County at 8:00 a.m.
