The Jesuit Crusaders gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They strolled past Oregon City with points to spare, taking the game 55-36. For Jesuit, this counts as revenge for the 40-35 defeat Oregon City walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.
Jesuit can attribute much of their success to Kendra Hicks, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 26 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Filkins, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Oregon City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Jesuit will head out on the road to face off against North Medford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oregon City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Barlow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
